A preparatory cranial potential for saccadic eye movements in macaque monkeys
We describe a lateralized readiness potential recorded over frontolateral cortex of macaques before saccades. The potential parallels saccade-related spiking in the frontal eye field, but does not distinguish between generating and inhibiting a saccade.
